I love time change, but only the fall back one. Why? One more hour of sleep!

Sleep is important and often overlooked in our busy society. But, there are many advantages to getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night.

Sleep can benefit your body by keeping your heart healthy, by preventing cancer, by reducing inflammation, by helping to lose weight, by lowering your risk for depression and by allowing time for the body to repair itself.

Sleep also reduces stress, improves memory and increases alertness.

If you don't get enough shuteye, you'll get drowsy during the day which will make it dangerous to drive a car and difficult to concentrate on work. Then you could get angry and stress out that you're having problems with sleep.

A consistent bedtime routine is a great way to encourage sleep at the same time every day.

My family loves pajama pants time. In fact, when the boys were little we used to sing "Pajama pants" to The Muppets Phenomenon song as part of their bedtime routine.

Below, I've attached the Sandra Bullock version. So, let's all put on our pajamas, sing the song and go to bed.

Nighty-night!
