Feeling lost

It's easier to find where you're going these days thanks to navigation apps. Except for me. The navigation system in my car frequently loses me or thinks I'm somewhere else, like in the middle of a lake. It has gotten me lost in Seattle right off the freeway in a sketchy area more than once. Not helpful.
That's not the only device that thinks I am somewhere else. My digital TV service thinks I live in Eastern Washington. I do not. I need to stop believing their weather forecast...
My computer internet provider thinks I live on an island somewhere. It makes it difficult to find local stores during internet searches.
Maybe you too feel lost and/or alone. How can this change?
Well, you need to find your own way and get connected. Not online, but out in public.
Since it's summer, there may be fewer options than during the school year. But you could check out your local community center for classes and events that may be of interest to you. Maybe sport clubs at the local gym or Y. Maybe your neighborhood posts local groups or activities happening near you.
Once school starts, check out what activities or clubs they offer. Do you like music? Check out the band or choir. Sports? If none of those are of interest to you, there are many other after school clubs or maybe even groups that meet at lunch (or power hour at my local high school).
If all else fails, ask for suggestions from your parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, etc. Just make sure the person you ask is not a perv or a drug dealer because then you'll get a lot more than you bargained.
