Family of Friends

There is a saying that you can choose your friends, but not your family.

Sometimes families are difficult. Sometimes families are messy. Sometimes families are far away.

But then, there are friends. There is no reason why they can't become family.

Humans are social animals. So, if you can't surround yourself with family during the holidays, look at your friends.

If you don't have friends yet, don't fear. They can be found in school classrooms, at work or anywhere you go with other people. These people, at least, have something in common with you and that's a great foundation to start building your family of friends.
