COVID Crazy

Maybe I should title this "How not to go crazy with COVID."

Well, I'm in the "epicenter" of the virus per the local Washington state news. Life is totally different than it was two weeks ago. Schools have shut down, there's no traffic, there's no nightlife. Teenagers are bored and have no place to go. In our city, they have closed playgrounds because kids congregate there.

I understand the gravity of the COVID-19 situation. We need to protect the old people and those with pre-existing conditions, but at what cost?

Well, that means the majority of us get to stay home.

There are many things to do at home - read books, play games, watch TV, do chores, etc. But for weeks on end?

That's where things get difficult.

So, try to find ways to connect with friends or relatives that doesn't involve congregating in off-limit playgrounds. Use Skype, FaceTime or chat rooms. Go outside and take a walk or ride a bike. But still stay six feet away from each other.

And don't forget to wash your hands.

Good luck.

Don't panic.

This too will pass.
