I love scents from body lotion, hand soaps, candles and wax tart melts.

Scents are great to remind us of the current season.

My favorite season to smell is fall. I love apple, cinnamon and pumpkin. I don't like pumpkin pie because of its texture, but everything else pumpkin is great. My husband is convinced that my adoration of pumpkin is an addiction.

My favorite winter scent is evergreen tree. Who doesn't like the smell of outside? Especially when you don't have to go out into the elements.

Spring is difficult because of the floral scents. I have boys and flowers are not their thing, but fruit scents work great for spring and summer. Coconut makes me think of the beach and vacation.

My oldest boy enjoyed smelling things when he was little. He used to smell with his mouth open which amused me, so I offered him many things to smell.

Olfactory stimulation can transport you back in time if a certain smell is tied to a memory.

Aromatherapy with essential oils can promote health and well-being.

Lavender is used for relaxation and sleep.

Eucalyptus can combat congestion during a cold or flu.

Clary sage may help with memory and attention.

Peppermint is great to help you wake up.

Orange may decrease anxiety.

Rosemary may enhance brainpower.

Cinnamon may increase concentration and focus.

And the list goes on.

Smelling things is good for business!

So, go ahead and take a deep breath through your nose. You may just trigger a memory or soothe away stress and worry.
